刘爱力强调，铁塔公司做到“五个坚持”决不动摇，即坚持铁塔公司的赢利来自于共享的效益及专业化的管理，坚持成本低于原运营商，坚持品质高于原运营商，坚持效率高于原运营商，坚持折旧年限等原则性规则不能变。刘爱力还特别指出，要立足当前、放眼长远，预见事物发展的总趋势。铁塔公司的未来不是铁塔，铁塔公司的未来是共享，对此必须早有准备。

在培训中，刘爱力还强调，公司各级管理者要努力提升战略思维能力。铁塔公司当前的战略重点就是“三有利--做到了、知道了、认可了”。

从公司成立初衷来讲，中国铁塔必须要实现“三有利”，一要有利于改革成效彰显，二要有利于三家电信企业整体利益实现，三要有利于中国铁塔自身持续发展，刘爱力称。

客观公正地讲，中国铁塔“做到了”，并且很多地方还有所创新。但仅仅“做到了”是不够的，关键是要让客户“知道了”，“知道了”还不够，更要让电信企业从基层员工到中、高层管理者发自内心的“认可了”，刘爱力表示。

刘爱力指出，对于“三有利”，国务院领导是认可的，国资委、工信部等上级部委是充分认可的，社会也是认可的，但如果没有三家电信企业自上而下的认可，如果没有三家发自内心的支持和推动，一切工作将变得毫无意义，铁塔公司上下无论多辛苦、多努力，都将一事无成。
